15 Celeb Moments That Still Make Us Cringe

We are all glad Britney is free from the control of her father and his lawyers. That said, we also can’t deny that we can’t help but look at her Instagram dancing videos and wonder if she’s actually OK. Some of her videos make us both cringe and worry about her.

This interview between Ellen DeGeneres and Dakota Johnson was a cringe fest, and it all started with Ellen trying to put Dakota on the spot for a party invite. It honestly went downhill in a real hurry after that. Good on Dakota for standing her ground.

Mary Cosby is both a genius casting choice for a reality show (she is so darn weird and we love it) and a cringe waiting to happen. Telling someone that they smell like hospital and it makes you want to gag? Yikes! Cringe city and way too rude.

There are some people who, apparently, think that Julia Fox is some kind of fashion icon. We think that the actress/former Kanye girlfriend seems rather allergic to ever wearing an actual outfit. We're not here to body shame but, ma'am, we need to wear pants to the grocery store.

Taylor Swift is basically a queen at the top of her game, in the midst of having one of the most profitable tours ever. Elon Musk is in the midst of killing one of the formerly most popular social media platforms in the world and spreading lies and conspiracy theories while he does it. But we’re sure Taylor would be happy to prop up Elon’s failing business, like he is basically begging her to do. Elon is just embarrassing himself. Again. More. Still.

Does anyone know how to say “faker” in Spanish? Maybe we can ask Hilaria Baldwin, whose little fibs about where she’s actually from (she was born and raised in Massachusetts, not Spain as she has sometimes claimed) and her faux accent have raised cringey accusations of cultural appropriation.

Kris Jenner, ma’am, with all due respect, we all know a heavy filter when we see one, and we know that the world’s biggest momager is 67 years old. The amount of filter she’s using on the show and her social media is becoming comically cringey. Kris needs to get a grip on all the Photoshop and filters and just own that she's not as young as she used to be.

It takes A LOT for us to feel sorry for Armie Hammer (he is certainly no angel), but this moment from 2017 when he gets ambushed on stage at a charity gala by a clearly drunk Fergie almost gets us there. Fergie, girl, what were you doing?

Nobody wants to get lectured on the value of hard work from someone with an army of nannies, trainers, private chefs, and a round-the-clock glam squad, Kim. Her deciding to tell other women that they just aren’t working hard enough was a BAD look.

Ahhh! This one is SO cringy. It’s pretty clear that Jerry Seinfeld has no idea who Kesha is, so it isn’t so surprising that he didn’t want to hug a stranger (especially one who is interrupting him during an interview). But the fact that he had to say "no thanks" more than once is just brutal.

We still don’t know what Ramona thought she was doing with her face during her iconic runway moment, but we still cringe at the oh-so-crazy eyes and the mean mug facial expression. Maybe she thought she was giving a fierce face? Who knows. Just awkward, awkward, awkward!

Listen, we don’t know exactly what was happening on that boat in Venice (though we have some rather NC-17 guesses), but we’re definitely cringing that Kayne had his bare butt hanging out in public. We’d thought his constant walking around barefoot was gross, but this just feels icky. Is his new wife, Bianca, OK?

Sure, lots of celebrities have lip synced, but few have gotten so publicly busted as Ashlee Simpson on Saturday Night Live in 2004. The flubbed lip sync is bad but the real cringe comes from her awkward little jig of a dance before she raced off stage. She was only 19 at the time, so we can’t help but feel a little sorry for how mean people were to her afterward.

Celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels has done her fair share of damage over the years (The Biggest Loser was SO problematic) but coming after Lizzo and Lizzo’s body for no reason? Rude as hell and CRINGE. And, yep, she totally had to do the social media apology tour after that nonsense.
