'Soon You'll Get Better'
We know that Taylor Swift loves her mama and the song "Soon You'll Get Better" is a chronicle of Andrea Swift's battle with cancer. As moms, we feel both the love and the anxiety of a (grown-up) kid who just needs her mama to be fine.
'Ronan'
We're not sure that ANYONE can listen to the song "Ronan" without ugly crying, but this ballad about a 4-year-old who dies of cancer is extra emotional for all of us moms. It is every mom's worst nightmare, told as only Taylor can. Please pass the tissues; we're gonna need them.
'The Best Day'
"The Best Day" from Taylor's Fearless album is a great example of how Swift uses songwriting as a form of storytelling. This one is all about how her mom showed up for her when she's dealt with the challenges of mean girls and junior high moments. As moms, we can't help but love a song about how mom can make it all better.

'Bigger Than the Whole Sky'
Although there are several interpretations that could be made of the meaning behind the song "Bigger Than the Whole Sky" from the Midnights album, the following lyrics especially resonated with some women who have experienced pregnancy loss:
"Goodbye, goodbye, goodbyeYou were bigger than the whole sky
You were more than just a short time
And I've got a lot to pine about
I've got a lot to live without
I'm never gonna meet
What could've been, would've been
What should've been you
What could've been, would've been you"
"Fifteen"
Listening to a song about the joys and heartbreaks of being a 15-year-old girl hits totally different for those of us who are girl moms. We both feel the nostalgia for that time in our life and the dread of knowing it will be hard for our own girls to get through that stage without some crush breaking their heart along the way.

'Tolerate It'
"Tolerate It" is another song that can get a mother of teens right in the feels. The idea of loving someone who only kind of tolerates your affections? Taylor might have meant that for a romantic partner, but some moms know that feeling all too well from their surly teenagers.
'Never Grow Up'
"Never Grow Up" from the Speak Now album in a unique one from Taylor as it's actually sung from the perspective of a mother who is wishing time would just slow down a little bit. OF COURSE this one is going to hit us different once we are moms and know exactly what that feels like.
'This Is Me Trying'
Any mom who has ever felt like she was spread too thin and pulled in a hundred directions by demands for her time, her attention, and her emotional labor (uh, so all of us?) can probably relate to the song "This Is Me Trying" from the Folklore album.
'22'
"22" is a song that young Taylor fans can listen to and imagine what life will be like when they are finally grown up. It's also a song that moms can listen to when we want to remember what we were like in the fun old days before we became someone's mom!
'Marjorie'
"Marjorie" is Taylor's tribute to her late grandmother, and it's a haunting and tender ballad about love and family loss. For those of us who are dealing with aging parents or losing other loved ones, this one is especially bittersweet.
'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'
Has there ever been a more perfect song for having an impromptu kitchen dance party or carpool karaoke moment with our kiddos than "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"? Yeah, we can't think of one either. This song is the perfect Taylor Swift entry point for our littlest future Swifties to bop along to.
'Forever Winter'
This song is written from the perspective of a teenager worrying about her friend who is struggling with mental health and addiction issues. It's a little too easy for us to imagine this song from the perspective of a mother who is desperately worried about her son. Too relatable not to feel this one in our bones.
'Happiness'
We all know that Taylor has been through her fair share of break-ups, but this song seems like it was written specifically for a woman going through a divorce to listen to while she cries in the car. At least that's what some of our recently separated mom friends report.
'Safe and Sound'
The theme of "Safe and Sound" (from the Hunger Games soundtrack) is all about wanting to protect someone you are caring for from the cruel realities of a dangerous world. Yep, sounds A LOT like what it feels like to be a mom lately, right?
'The Man'
"The Man" is an anthem for every mom who has ever had a sneaking suspicion that life might be a little easier if we were dads and not moms. we love the dads in our life, but let's be honest that the whole emotional labor thing is real. Taylor gets it.

'I Can See You'
Taylor has always excelled at writing songs about crushes, yearning, and love, but she wasn't always the best at writing songs that are SEXY. "I Can See You" is maybe her sexiest song, and a close listen to the lyrics might help even the most tired mom get a little bit more in the mood for some frisky times.
