Cardi B Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Charges After Indictment

Nicole Pomarico

Another update is here on Cardi B's legal troubles, and it's not sounding good. On Tuesday, Cardi pleaded not guilty to felony charges against her from the October strip club brawl that left two bartenders injured ... and we don't know what to think about all this.

Cardi entered her plea in court after she was indicted on 12 counts, including felonies.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Cardi's charges include two counts of felony attempted assault with intent to cause serious injury, as well as various misdemeanors -- such as harassment, criminal solicitation, conspiracy, and reckless endangerment.

But it seems like Cardi didn't let the stress of the situation get her down. As a source told the outlet, she was acting totally like herself in the courtroom. "She was fidgeting with her long pink nails. She didn’t look upset. She had a grin on her face like she always does," the insider revealed.

This all started back in October, when Cardi turned herself in after a major strip club brawl in Queens.

Apparently, Cardi got in a fight with two employees at the Angels Strip Club on August 29. Allegedly, she attacked the women with "chairs, bottles and other items." One of these women was reportedly sleeping with Cardi's husband, Offset, and she may have "ordered an attack" on them because of it. Back in April, Cardi rejected a plea deal that would've given her a conditional discharge.

Cardi was indicted by a grand jury on Friday, and it's still not clear how this is going to play out. But so far, it's not looking good ...

And as far as her social media goes, it seems like it's business as usual for Cardi despite her legal drama.

In fact, her recent Instagram posts are all about promoting her new music video for "Press," making it seem as if she's totally unbothered ... or at least not talking about the situation more than she absolutely has to.

But hey, work doesn't stop, even when jail time is a serious possibility.

Seems commenters really want her to do the time for this -- and if she's guilty, she should. Being that her next court date isn't until September 9 (she's not even required to attend in person, per ET), it'll be a while before we find out how this all ends up.

Whatever happens, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

It's hard to imagine that this won't affect Cardi's daughter Kulture in some small way. (She's not even a year old yet!)

Let's just hope that Cardi stays out of trouble between now and her next hearing.
