Lawyer Allan Kassenoff on Leave After Video of Him Verbally Abusing Dying Wife Went Viral
TRIGGER WARNING: This post contains information about suicide, which may be triggering to some.
The story of Catherine and Allan Kassenoff went viral earlier this week when Catherine reportedly died by assisted suicide in Switzerland. Before her death, Catherine posted multiple videos of Allan saying vile things to the mother of his children, who was dying of cancer at the time. He reportedly mentally tortured Catherine until she couldn't take anymore and believed that dying would be better than continuing to live a nightmare.
Before her death, Catherine published what she called her "last post ever." In the lengthy Facebook message, she alleged mental abuse by Allan and detailed her reported struggles with family courts in New York. Catherine's post was filled with what she hoped would be enough damning evidence against Allan it would ensure that their children would be saved and taken for him forever.

Allan's behavior toward his wife and children was disturbing.
The first glimpse of Allan in the video is of him telling his wife that he hates her. It is harsh and ugly, but it is nothing compared to his continued vile words toward his wife and their three daughters. Catherine took multiple videos of Allan acting no better than a bratty child. He screams, pouts, and runs away from her, refusing to speak to her or to take care of their children.
Allan calls the girls spoiled and says he will punish his daughter by not taking her to school because she is a brat. Catherine films this video from the bed as she fights terminal breast cancer. She is physically unable to help her children while Allan berates them.
Catherine blamed the court system.
Sadly, Catherine believed that the family court system in Westchester failed her and her children. As a former lawyer who traded a career for raising a family, Catherine knew the law and thought that multiple judges gave Allan an unfair bias. Allan, also a lawyer, seemed to have money and power on his side.
But in her last hours of life, Catherine took steps to finally expose her husband for who she felt he really was. She claimed that even after her death, he would fight and lie to protect his innocence, but he most certainly looked very guilty.
"Allan's need to convince others otherwise comes from his shame about the truth: that he was a domestic abuser. By trying to cast me in these negative ways, he thinks he can clear his name. He cannot: the videos, audios and other materials will follow him forever," she wrote on Facebook. "You will find police testimony about his abuse, medical records of his abuse, affidavits about his abuse, and more in the link. Shame on Greenberg Traurig, who knew all of this, and did nothing to stand up for the rights of domestic abuse survivors like me and my daughters."
Robbie Harvey exposed Allan to millions on social media.
On his TikTok account @therobbieharvey, the content creator who makes a living by exposing bad husbands, posted multiple bombshell videos of Allan verbally harassing his wife and lashing out at their children. Harvey explained the case in detailed videos with more than 35 million views.
Harvey's heartfelt take on Catherine's struggles and what he claims are corrupt lawyers and judges make Allan's abuse even more difficult to watch. Shockingly, despite all of the video evidence, the girls remain in their father's care.
Allan's employer finally spoke out.
Although many felt it took too long, Allan's employer, GreenbergTraurig, finally made a statement about the disgraced attorney on June 10.
"Allan Kassenoff has been involved in a divorce and custody matter that has been going on for more than 4 years. After lengthy trials and reviewing all the facts, including some videos, none of the 4 judges who presided over the trials or the 2 court-appointed neutral forensic evaluators found him to have committed wrongdoing or abuse as to his children or the contended domestic violence, and instead awarded him sole legal and physical custody of their three children," a statement of Facebook reads. "Nevertheless, the firm will be conducting its own investigation to determine his status with the firm. In the meantime, he is taking a voluntary leave of absence to focus on his family."
In what seems like a bit of a cowardly move, the law firm disabled comments on the post so the public cannot share how they feel about the man accused of these heinous acts of mental torture.

But people had plenty to say on TikTok.
Comments on Harvey's original post, which has amassed 22.9 million views itself, are filled with disdain for Allan.
"This poor woman passed away knowing her children weren't 100% safe and loved. Horrifying 😔,” a follower wrote.
"feel so bad for those kids especially when they say "I don't want to go with that crazy guy" there even scared of him ❤️," another person wrote.
Many hoped this would be the end of Allan's career. "He's an attorney. I really hope that this video evidence is enough to keep him from getting full custody of those poor kids. I hope her family fights," one comment reads.
Allan has not made a public statement regarding his newfound fame. Perhaps this time, it's best he keep his mouth shut.
