Alyssa Milano's 12-Year-Old Son Milo Claps Back Amid Backlash Over Baseball Team GoFundMe
Alyssa Milano has been catching a lot of heat for sharing her son's baseball fundraiser online, but after this saga has dragged on for weeks, one very important person in her life is coming to her defense. After yet another round of controversy about the situation, Alyssa's son Milo is standing up for her on social media, leaving a comment that may make people think twice about the way they speak to total strangers online. And that's in addition to Alyssa sharing more about the situation that could end up changing some of her critics' minds.

The situation began back in January.
Like a lot of moms do, Alyssa shared a GoFundMe page that was created to help her son's baseball team raise money for a trip to Cooperstown, New York, along with other expenses associated with the team. Aiming to raise $10,000, the fundraiser has now reached more than $15,000.
Given that Alyssa is a celebrity with an estimated net worth of $4 million, she immediately received backlash for not just paying for the trip herself.
Now, the haters are going straight to her son's page.
Alyssa's critics have found 12-year-old Milo's Instagram account, and multiple people have commented about how inappropriate it was for his mom to try to raise money for his team.
Milo wasn't having it, though. In one comment, he wrote, "You do realize I'm only 12 and I love my mom. My mom is the greatest human of all time. She does everything for everyone."
In response to another troll, he simply replied, "Please get off my page. I'm only 12."
Now, Alyssa is explaining herself again.
"Every parent raises money for their child’s sports teams and many of them do so through GoFundMe. I am no different," she wrote. "As much as I’d love to pay for the entire team and their families for travel, transportation, hotel, food and beverage, uniforms, trading pins and all the things teams do for this kind of trip — I can not afford to do so. Maybe someday."

She went on to point out that it's 'so horrid' that people would leave comments on Milo's page.
"Leave the kids alone. Let them play baseball. If you are against donating — don’t donate," she wrote.
Another mom from her son's team chimed in with a comment of her own on the post, writing, "Thanks @milano_alyssa for what you do for our boys. We mama birds and the boys are sincerely grateful. I’m really sorry that you have to spend energy on those who must have very little to do than to feel justified in messaging a 12 year old."
It seems she has plenty of people in her corner on this one.
Maybe now the matter can be put to rest.
Both Alyssa and Milo have had the chance to speak for themselves, and now, hopefully everyone can move on.
Milo's words are an important reminder to truly think about what you're saying and sharing online. No matter what his mom is doing, he's right — he's just a kid and doesn't deserve to be dragged into the drama.
