Ben Affleck's 10-Year-Old Son Hits a Car After Getting Behind the Wheel of a Lamborghini
Things could have gone really badly for Ben Affleck on Sunday after the actor let his 10-year-old son, Samuel, get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini at a Los Angeles dealership. Samuel accidently threw the car into reverse and bumped a nearby BMW. Fortunately, nobody was hurt — although we're sure Ben's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, had a few choice words for him at the end of the day.
Samuel was out shopping with his dad and soon-to-be stepmother.
Ben and fiancée Jennifer Lopez were apparently on the hunt for new wheels when the accident happened. They were spotted at 777 Exotics in Los Angeles, where Ben was set to test drive a $225,000 Lamborghini. He must have thought Samuel would get a kick out of taking a turn in the driver's seat and let his son climb in for a moment.
The tween likely hit something while he was in the car.
We don't think Ben was actually letting the boy take the expensive car for a ride when the crash happened. Instead, it seems as if Samuel bumped something inside the vehicle, sending it slowly moving backward and into a nearby BMW. We can't imagine how terrified the boy must have been, but it appears Ben's first instinct was to make sure Samuel was fine.

According to TMZ, neither car was damaged during the incident, and everyone is OK. That's really good news, although we don't think it will change the fact that Ben is probably going to be a little more hesitant about letting Samuel behind the wheel of any vehicles for a good long while — let alone ones as expensive as the ones Ben and Jennifer were looking at!
We can't help but wonder now if Ben had to buy one of the cars to make up for the incident.
TMZ also chatted up the dealership staff to see if there was any more to the story, but a rep for 777 Exotics claimed there was no accident and that the cars just happened to be parked reallllly close together (hence the photos).
We're not sure we're buying that story, though. Maybe Ben promised to come back and buy Samuel's first car from the dealership — when he's of age, that is.
Based on the photos we saw, it looks like Ben handled everything perfectly.
Ben is no stranger to parenting struggles — he and ex-wife Jen actually have three kids together, and Jennifer has twins with her ex, Marc Antony — so we're sure he gets lots of practice when it comes to dealing with parenting snafus.
Hopefully he wasn't in too much hot water with Jen when he dropped Samuel off at the end of their day out. We can't imagine she was too thrilled hearing that her 10-year-old made his first attempt at learning to drive!
