Adorable 7-Year-Old Stuns Guests With Performance for Parents' Wedding Anniversary

For as long as I can remember, glossophobia, or the fear of public speaking, has been listed as the No. 1 phobia in the United States. As expressive as Americans can be compared to other nations, we generally don’t like sharing those thoughts in front of an audience. But that’s not the case for everybody.

While most children freeze or tense up when asked to perform in front of crowds, one 7-year-old boy proved he’s a natural entertainer.

Marcello sang for his parents' wedding anniversary.

Marcello, a 7-year-old from Staten Island, New York, had an entire restaurant enraptured as he serenaded them to Bobby Darin’s “Beyond the Sea.” Marcello was there with his parents for their wedding anniversary among family and friends. But with his charisma and stellar performance, he invited the entire place to join in on the celebration.

Thankfully, his father Vincenzo DiGregorio, caught the moment on video. Although, judging by Marcello’s comfort in front of a crowd, there will likely be plenty more opportunities.

Marcello handled the crowd professionally.

In fact, judging from the video, this might not have been Marcello’s first time handling a crowd. Because he performed like a seasoned pro. Before the song even began, he warmed the patrons up with a little crowd participation.

Dressed in a purple vest and matching slacks, Marcello grabbed the mic and said, “Let’s go, everybody!” Good Morning America reported.

The performance was impromptu.

Maria Venuto, Marcello’s aunt, said the boy loves to sing. “We went to celebrate at a restaurant, Panini Grill on Staten Island, where a friend of ours, Rob, performed," Venuto explained. "Marcello asked if he could sing and Rob was kind of enough to share the mic," she added. After this number, Rob might want to make sure his job is secure.

The crowd stood to their feet at the end of Marcello's act.

During his performance, Marcello checked to make sure the audience was still with him. “I hope everybody is having a great time! Everybody scream!” The audience ate it up. At the end of the number, Marcello received a standing ovation, according to the New York Post.
