Bryan's family released a statement confirming the sad news.
In a statement to People issued on Monday, Bryan's family shared that he had died on Saturday after suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.
"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request," the statement shared. "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan."
Now, Sandra's sister is paying tribute to Bryan.
Sandra's sister, pastry chef Gesine Bullock-Prado, took to Instagram to talking about Bryan's passing — including the fact that Sandra was instrumental in his care.
"I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon," she wrote. "ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home."
Sandra and Bryan started dating in 2015.
As E! News reported, Sandra and Bryan began dating more than eight years ago, with Bryan reportedly moving in with her full time about a year into their relationship.
It seems he was also a big part of the lives of Sandra's two children, Louis and Laila.

Sandra opened up about their relationship on 'Red Table Talk' in 2021.
At the time, she explained why they hadn't gotten married.
"I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and a devoted mother," she said. "I don't need to be told to be ever present in the hardest of times. I don't need to be told to weather the storm with a good man."
Our thoughts are with Sandra and Bryan's family at this time.
This is, of course, an unimaginable loss for Sandra's family after fighting this private battle together, especially because Bryan was still so young. Here's hoping they are able to get the privacy they asked for as they grieve.
