I Unknowingly Had an Affair With My Best Friend's Husband & Ruined Their Marriage

Veronica Wells-Puoane

If a someone told you that your husband had an affair with your best friend, you would assume that both parties were consenting and complicit in the betrayal. But that way of thinking is evidently a little old school. In this new digital age, there are virtual ways for deception to occur and in some cases, both parties don’t even have to know.

This is what happened to one woman who unknowingly had a months-long affair with her friend’s husband and had no idea.

'I woke up this morning realizing I have broken up one of my friends’ marriages,' Honey Brooks told her Instagram followers.

Honey Brooks is an Australian model who works on OnlyFans, according to the New York Post. Honey says she loves her job but occasionally it comes with some “weird s---.”

For instance, in a recent Instagram video, she shared, “I woke up this morning realizing I have broken up one of my friends’ marriages.” All of this began when her friend’s husband secretly and anonymously subscribed to her OnlyFans. Initially, the husband sent raunchy messages using a pseudonym.

For six months, Honey said she was occupied by an anonymous subscriber.

For almost half a year, this stranger was online every night, chatting with her. He bought all of Honey’s content — which was a lot — within the first week of chatting. Once he’d purchased all he could, Honey said this anonymous subscriber asked to purchase a more personalized experience.

“I offer a girlfriend experience on my site,” Honey explained. “But it’s quite expensive. It basically means a sub can pay me to be their girlfriend for a week, a month or however long they want to and it involves priority messaging, doing fun things every night, video calls … I’m yours for the week.”

Honey said the sub/husband paid for that girlfriend experience for three months straight, which was unusual because most people don’t go beyond a month. Then suddenly, he disappeared completely. Honey went from speaking to this sub every day to complete ghost.

'We literally go out on family dates,' Honey said.

Now, she understands what happened. “He stopped messaging me because his wife found out. His wife who is one of my best friends. Also, I know him and have met him multiple times. Like we literally go out on family dates,” Honey explained.

Thankfully, Honey's friend didn’t blame her. The two talked about the whole thing and came to an understanding. Still, Honey says she feels “absolutely gutted” that her friend’s husband did that to her friend and to Honey herself.

Some people questioned her innocence.

While many were enthralled by Honey’s story, there were others who questioned it.

One person wrote: “So you didn’t recognize his face or voice? This sounds like click bait 100%.”

Others thought it could have been true but wondered why she would turn her friend’s pain into content.

“Why are you making a video about it so soon after it just happened?” one user asked. “How do you think your friend will feel about you airing out probably one of the worst days of her life for content, the day it happens?”

When confronted, the husband twisted his story to say Honey knew who he was all along.

In an update, Honey shared that her friend’s husband is telling a different version of this story. “The sub has now twisted the story to his wife, saying I knew all along who he was and that I was okay with it and basically we wanted to be together.”

She said that she plans to go home and sit them both down over a cup of coffee. We wish her the best of luck because this is a mess.
