Kate Middleton Shares Adorable New Photos of Her 3 Kids for UK Mother's Day
Sunday was Mother's Day in the UK, which means all the members of the royal family took the opportunity to send a special shout-out to their mums, wives, and loved ones. We even got to see an updated photo of Princess Kate and her three kids, as well as some special throwbacks from King Charles and Camilla.
The sweet snapshots of the Wales family were posted on Instagram.
The family photos (sans Prince William) were shared on the Waleses' official account. In the first, Kate and her three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — were all smiles as they perched beside their mother in a tree. In the second, Kate is holding Louis in her arms.
"Happy Mother's Day from our family to yours," the post was captioned.
Kate looked effortlessly chic as usual.
You could probably forget that Kate will one day sit beside her husband as the head of the monarchy, based on the casual nature of the photos. She actually looks like she could be any one of us in the pics, dressed in a typical mom uniform of dark jeans, a white eyelet blouse, and a pair of bright white sneakers. Kate always gives us a ton of fashion inspo, and this is no exception.
The photos were taken by the family's favorite photographer.
According to the Instagram caption, Matt Porteous was the man behind the camera. Matt's name may sound familiar to royal watchers because he's William and Kate's go-to photographer when it comes to capturing family snaps like this.
The Daily Mail reported that Matt was also behind the couple's 2022 Christmas card. It looks like these pictures may have even been taken during that same shoot.
William and Kate weren't the only ones celebrating on Sunday.
Charles and Camilla also marked the holiday — though it was likely an especially difficult day for the 74-year-old royal, who was celebrating his first Mother's Day without his mom, Queen Elizabeth.
"To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special Mother's Day," the king and queen consort's message read.
In addition to a picture of Charles and his mother, Camilla shared a photo of herself alongside her own late mother, Rosalind Shand.
We hope this holiday wasn't too sad for the royals.
This is the first Mother's Day since the Queen's September 2022 death. We can't imagine it's been easy for anyone, considering she was one of the most beloved members of the royal family.
We're sure that everyone from her four children down to her 12 great-grandchildren spent at least part of the day reflecting on her legacy. We hope all the UK mums had a great Sunday.
