Kate Middleton's Rep Issues Statement as Concerns Over Her Disappearance Grow
If you've been on social media any time in the last couple of days, you've probably noticed that speculation about where Kate Middleton is right now has risen to a fever pitch — along with a whole bunch of conspiracies. To quell some of these concerns, Kate's rep has released a statement in response to all the rumors, but something tells us that's not going to be enough to ease worries (or stop the conversations) about whether Kate is really just resting after a major surgery.

Apparently, Kate is still 'doing well.'
In a statement issued exclusively to Page Six, the Princess of Wales' rep shared, "Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands."
Well then!
The palace is sticking with its original story.
On January 17, the palace issued a statement that was shared on Will and Kate's official Instagram account letting the public know that Kate had undergone a "planned abdominal surgery" and anticipated that she wouldn't be returning to royal duties until after the Easter holiday, which falls at the end of March this year.
But recent developments have left people doubting that this is the whole truth — especially after something that happened earlier this week.
Will backed out of a pretty big commitment on Tuesday.
He canceled his appearance at the memorial for the late King Constantine of Greece — his godfather — where he was supposed to do a reading. Royal sources said it was due to a "personal matter," and no other details were shared.
It's unlike Will to pull out of a royal obligation under such short notice, and this put many people on alert, worried that it has something to do with Kate.

Basically, the entire internet is now convinced something sinister is going on.
Theories that people have come up with so far range from the truly silly — such as Kate using this time to recover from a Brazilian butt lift — to more serious, with some worrying that her health is worse than the palace is willing to let on.
Others simply can't understand why the palace can't share more information to put a stop to the speculation if she really is just recovering from surgery.
It's been more than two months since anyone has seen Kate.
The last time she was spotted in public was on Christmas Day, when the family made the annual walk to church at Sandringham.
Although we would have totally expected the palace to post photos of Kate in very princess-y loungewear while working from home or hanging out with the kids to show she's recovering, that hasn't happened yet — and there's still a month to go until Easter.
Will we see Kate before then, or will the mystery continue?
