Pink 'Mortified' After a Fan Throws Their Mother's Ashes on Stage During a Live Show

Lauren Wellbank

Performer Pink got the shock of a lifetime during the London leg of her world tour when a surprise guest appeared on stage with her. No, it wasn't another performer. Instead (and we can't make this stuff up) it was the cremated remains of a concertgoer's mother. Pink handled the moment like a pro, according to a video from the incident.

Pink was performing at the British Summer Time festival when it happened.

Fan footage shows the moment Pink realized that the plastic bag tossed on stage looked suspiciously like someone's ashes.

"Is this your mom?" a stunned Pink asked as she handled the bag. "I don't know how I feel about this," she continued, clearly looking a little grossed out by the exchange.

She stayed cool as a cucumber as she recovered from the moment.

Even though many of us may have been left feeling some type of way after such an experience, Pink seemed to carry on with the show as she had planned.

The only difference seemed to be the way she moved the ashes to the edge of the stage and then slipped behind a speaker to wipe her hands clean before picking up where she left off with her hit song "Just Like a Pill."

People online had a much stronger reaction.

Twitter users immediately started cracking jokes about what happened and begging for people to start having better manners while interacting with performers.

"Someone gave their Mothers ashes to Pink," one person tweeted. "I need yall to have boundaries like girl what?!"

Another person referenced a different on-stage incident. "These concert goers are out of control," the person wrote. "First a phone to shortys eye. Now pink got someone's ashes thrown on stage."

Bebe Rexha was taken to the hospital after a recent New York concert.

Sadly, another on-stage incident occurred when a different performer she was hit in the face by a cellphone while performing and badly injured, according to NBC News.

Fortunately, it appears Pink's fan was motivated more by sentimental reasons than anything else and likely wasn't trying to hurt (or even creep out) the musician with the strange move.

Here's hoping the rest of Pink's tour is uneventful.

After watching the clip, we totally get why someone said the mother of two was "mortified" by what happened. Still, given the absolute bonkers situation, Pink definitely handled herself like a champ, getting right back into the groove and giving fans what they came for.

Good job, Pink! Hopefully the rest of your fans learned a valuable lesson: Don't bring cremated remains to the concert.
