Fans Now Demanding Sandra Bullock Return 'The Blind Side' Oscar Over Michael Oher Lawsuit
It's been well more than a decade since Sandra Bullock played Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side, but the movie is coming back to haunt her now. Following Michael Oher's claims against the family he claims never actually adopted him, fans are demanding Sandra return the Oscar she won for her role in the movie.

Earlier this week, Michael accused the Tuohy family of lying to make money from his story.
In legal documents filed in Tennessee, Michael claimed that the Tuohy family never adopted him the way they said they did — in fact, he says it was only recently that he discovered they'd actually put him under a conservatorship giving them the legal authority to make business deals for him.
Now, Michael is seeking to put an end to this conservatorship, pointing out that he had given 20th Century Fox the rights to his life story "without any payment whatsoever" while the Tuohys profited from The Blind Side.
Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for her role in 'The Blind Side.'
In the movie, Sandra played Leigh Anne Tuohy, the woman who took a maternal role in Michael's life. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2010 thanks to her work in the movie, and now, this fact isn't sitting right by some people who are outraged by Michael's story.
Some are calling for Sandra to return her Oscar.
After hearing the news of Michael's lawsuit, many people have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that Sandra needs to return the award she won for that role.
"I think Leigh Anne Tuohy needs to be in jail and Sandra Bullock needs to give that Oscar back cause that whole movie was just more white savior BS anyhow," one person tweeted.
Another tweet read, "So Sandra Bullock should have to give back her Oscar right, and man do we need to start checking these good feeling stories. The parents blocked $300 in earnings the movie from him getting any of it and gave the money to their real children? WOOOOOOOW!"
Others are pointing out that Sandra had nothing to do with the real life story behind the movie.
Another person pointed out that Sandra's been through a lot lately after losing longtime partner Bryan Randall to ALS — and caring for him in his final months.
"Sandra Bullock has proven time and again how good she is and she just lost her partner to ALS. She didn’t do anything other than play a role with information about the subjects that is now grossly different," shared one tweet.

Her costar is already speaking out in her defense.
Quinton Aaron, who played Michael in the movie, has already defended Sandra in a statement he issued to the New York Post where he said he was "shocked" by the latest developments.
"Sandra did nothing wrong. That’s my girl and she is going through a really tough time right now. I really feel like they should leave her alone and stop trying to come at her," he said. "Stop trying to come for Sandra because you’re going to make me mad and they are going to have to come through me!"
