Woman on TikTok Shares Hack for Scoring Free $75 Shirt at Disney & People Are Divided

Let’s be honest with each other — free stuff is awesome. When it comes to a trip to Disney, I know we all would love any chance to save a couple dollars. But you might not go to the lengths that one 22-year-old woman from Ohio did, who chose to show up to Disney scantily clad in order to win one over on Mr. Mouse and score a free T-shirt.

Alyssa Schueller first learned about the artful “hack” from a viral video posted in May.

Clocking in at almost 6 million views, TikTok user @amandaaadimeo’s made a video about how she got a free $75 shirt for daring to show some skin. In her video, Amanda shared that she recently went to the Magic Kingdom and was “showing a little under-boob” when she was stopped by Disney World security and given a ticket to the nearest gift shop to pick out something more appropriate.

Cha-ching!

Which clearly sparked the idea in Schueller....

She also showed up at the Disney park in a slinky top and wouldn’t you know it — the hack worked. The video from June 18 shows Schueller being escorted by security to get a free shirt because her top “isn’t appropriate.”

And then BOOM — free T-shirt.

“It’s true guys…” she wrote in the video’s caption.

“I was at Animal Kingdom ALL morning without an issue,” she wrote later in the comments thread. “Went to Epcot and this happened. Went back to AK and had no issues once again.”

“If Disney wants to endorse a dress code then they need to just do that. But the inconsistency… pls.”

Online, some people were cheering.

“Girl you scammed Disney out of free merch,” wrote one person. “You should be proud.”

“'HoW cOuLd YoU wEaR tHaT tO a ChIlDrEn’S pArk' y’all go to water parks with kids everywhere with MUCH more hanging out leave sis alone,” someone else commented.

“Are Ariel’s seashells inappropriate too?” another commenter pointed out. “A child probably wouldn’t even think twice about it.”

While MANY other people thought she got rewarded for bad behavior.

“Maybe because there’s young kids around walking around that don’t need to be subjected to that,” wrote one woman. “I mean you are at a KIDS amusement park.”

“Disney has many rules," another commenter wrote. "When you go you accept the rules. Don’t like them? Don’t go.”

“They have a dress code, so this one is on you Bestie,” chimed in someone else.

In fact, Disney does have a dress code — of sorts.

According to the Disney World website, the only thing that all guests must wear are “shoes and shirts.”

“Ensuring that the parks are family-friendly is an important part of the Disney experience," the website states. "In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense.”

That being said, you can get booted or denied entry for inappropriate attire, which includes clothing with obscene language, objectionable tattoos, and “clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.”

In this case, these two women might’ve just gotten "lucky" — depending on who you ask.
