Mom Regrets Matching Tattoos With BFF — After Learning She Was Sleeping With Her Husband
You and your bestie do everything together: lunch dates, marathoning The Circle on Netflix, text sessions before going out on a date. But there is one thing you might never consider again after watching one woman’s story on TikTok. According to user stressymessydepressymama, or Nikki, she now deeply regrets getting matching tattoos with her BFF after the woman slept with her husband and took over her “entire life.”
The mom revealed the dirty details in a video that has been watched more than 1.7 million times.
Nikki stitched her response (meaning she attached her video clip to an already existing video) in response to the prompt “What’s a mistake you learned the hard way that you can now help others avoid?”
And boy oh boy, did Nikki have an answer.
According to the mom, it’s all fun and games until your friend has an affair with your husband.
And then the friend went full Single White Female on her to the point that she was “raising her children as if they're her own," she said.
“Ahh!” the mom pretended to scream in her video. "So much therapy though, really ... so much f---ing therapy,” Nikki added.
The tattoos in question are on her foot. One reads “You keep me wild” and another is in morse code, which reads “Best friends forever.”
And the two got their tattoos together at a local fundraiser, she explained in a video from April 24. But after the damage her bestie did to her relationship, it’s understandable that the mom has some big regrets.
She and her husband were in a “semi-open relationship.”
Nikki was reluctant about opening up her marriage but said yes — but only if he agreed to one rule, “no close friends,” she explained in another video.
The two had been friends for “11 or 12 years,” Nikki said in another video. “She wasn’t just like a close friend, she was my closest friend. We did everything together. We had the same workout classes, we would go out to eat after workout class, like if I wasn’t with him [her husband], I was with her.”
Her husband went after a few of her friends after they opened up their relationship — but her BFF was the only one to take the bait.
So much so that a week before her bestie’s wedding, she caught them making out on the couch at their Halloween party, she added. No matter how many times Nikki asked them to stop kissing, they wouldn’t. Months later, the two would play video games while Nikki was working the night shift, she said. And from there things spiraled out of control.
People in the comments were furious on the mom’s behalf.
“She said ‘same tattoo same life,’” wrote one commenter.
“I wouldn’t recover from this until I got revenge,” someone else added. “Imma be honest.”
“Mine did this too,” someone else shared, “but they waited till I left him then took my kids from me."
Luckily, for Nikki, she could always get her BFF tattoos covered up — and then never get a matching tattoo with someone else. And her husband is now her ex-husband.
