Pink Stops Australian Concert as Fan Goes Into Labor in the Audience
With her high-energy songs, strong voice, and aerial dance moves, singer Pink is known for putting on an amazing concert. Given how professional she is and her reputation for having great shows, Australian fans attending her Friday night concert in Sydney might have been surprised when the concert suddenly came to a halt mid-song. But it turns out there was a very good reason for the concert pause. As Pink soon revealed, she'd just figured out a surprising message from her crew: a woman in the audience had gone into labor.
Pink, who is a mother to daughter Willow, 12, and son Jameson. 7, appeared at first to be confused about what her off-stage crew was trying to tell her. Video of the moment posted to TikTok showed the singer laughing as she told the audience they should never play charades with her because she's terrible at guessing when someone is trying to act something out. She finally got that they were trying to tell her a baby was on the way, and she had the best response.

Pink tells everyone to look away.
From the stage, Pink asked her crew, "Is it Alecia or Alex being born?" and then joked that "I feel like we shouldn't be looking. Everyone give her her privacy!"
It doesn't appear the baby was actually being born in the moment, because TMZ reported that the woman, who was in a mosh pit when her labor started, was able to get out of the crowd when she wheeled away by medics.
The fan went into labor halfway through a song.
The concert was paused after Pink has begun singing "Our Song," which seemed to surprise the singer. She joked with the audience, "Wow, 'Our Song,' that was the one that did it. Wouldn't have called that one! I thought it would've been 'Get the Party Started' or 'Never Not Gonna Dance Again.'"
"Get the Party Started" would be a pretty amazing song to welcome a baby to the world.

Pink continued to speak to the woman from the stage as medical help arrived.
While the concert was on pause, Pink gave the mama-to-be some encouragement: "That's exciting. I don't even know what to say. But we have to sing now," she said. "Good luck! It's gonna be great! You're gonna do great."
After the show, the singer took to Instagram to share that the whole concert had been a bit of a wild ride.
"Sydney!!!!!! That was a wet one!!!!! Come rain or shine- we are out here. We helped bring a baby into the world, we found a new favorite candy bar- Jamo made his debut, and I outlasted my entire family," she shared in her post. "Also flashed the crowd on the way back to dressing room. By accident. I think. I’m so happy to be here!!!!!!"
This isn't the first time a fan has gone into labor during a Pink concert.
In August 2023, a fan attending a Pink concert in Boston went into labor at just 31 weeks. People magazine reported that the fan, Angela Mercer, ended up walking for more than a mile to get from the concert venue to the hospital because the traffic around the concert made getting a cab challenging. According to a statement from the hospital, she gave birth to a baby boy, who they described as "Pink’s newest, and youngest, fan."
We've all heard of baby making music, but maybe a Pink concert is the new baby birthing music.
